Most commonly used within the commercial HVAC ( heating ventilation air conditioning ) industry due to its higher flows / pressures compared to glandless pumps. Keeping in line with energy saving more and more glanded pumps are selected and supplied with VFDs.
Glandless Circulation Pumps
Glandless pumps also known as canned rotor pumps are commonly used for domestic, commercial heating and chilled water applications. When installing Glandless pump they must always be installed vertically to protect the top bearing an air becoming trapped. When installing a twin headed glandless pump its good practice to install an air vent at top of casing to minimize this happening. Almost all glandless pumps come as single phase & fitted with integrated inverters making them energy efficient solution to a fix speed solution.
